I was born in the 80s and grew up seeing extremely thin women being celebrated in magazines and newspapers. I tried every faddy diet going - the '7lbs in 7 days bikini diet', the 'zero carbs diet' - I could go on! Over the years I realised that trying to lose weight shouldn't be this difficult - or debilitating.
Losing weight is not just about willpower, instead our weight is very much affected by external factors.
Busy lifestyles greatly influence our food choices. After a long day at work, finding the time or energy to cook a meal can be challenging, especially if you need to take care of the kids first. Often, we don’t have the time to prepare lunch, leaving us no choice but to buy something prepackaged. Additionally, the cost of healthy options can be a barrier— a punnet of strawberries can be three times the price of a packet of biscuits!
I will work with you to help you to make small, realistic changes which will help you to reach your goals. These changes will be lifestyle changes which you can carry with you long after we've finished working together. I have found from my own experience that expecting someone to make drastic changes to their lifestyle simply doesn’t work long term, and so as I get to know you, I will work with you and your individual circumstances. I also offer bespoke meal plans to take the stress away.
